FDLE
adopts STaCS™ for Complete Automated DNA Processing
Anjura Technology announced today the successful production implementation
of the STaCS™ DNA tracking and control software for the
statewide DNA database of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement
(FDLE).
Anjura
Technology had signed a contract earlier this year with FDLE to
provide the department with its high-performance software solution.
Anjura’s mandate was to analyze the DNA analysis processes
currently in place at FDLE and propose an optimized approach in
order to fully exploit automation and STaCS™ sophisticated
functionality.
"The
process mapping techniques utilized by Anjura are highly focused
and allowed us to quickly document our as-is and to-be processing
steps" said David Coffman, Crime Laboratory Analyst Supervisor,
FDLE. "The output generated from our work sessions allowed
Anjura to quickly move forward and customize STaCS™ to meet
our specific requirements" added Coffman.
STaCS™
provides high throughput and process control for all DNA samples,
scientific instrument integration and interfacing, management
reporting and control, continuity of handling for DNA samples,
a secure approach for data capture and storage, and quality assurance
and control.
