STaCS DNA Inc. today announced the release of STaCS-DB Enterprise™ Version 4.1.

STaCS DNA Inc., a leading provider of DNA automation software solutions announced today general availability of STaCS-DB Enterprise™ Version 4.1, the most comprehensive and reference product in the Forensic DNA Data Banking market.

Version 4.1 includes the following new features:

Multi Plate Mode (child plates) - Version 4.1 provides the ability to indicate whether or not a ‘child’ plate is to be created at each lab processing step.

Managing Standard Ladder Alleles - Version 4.1 adds the ability for lab personnel to manage Standard Ladder Alleles by adding, deleting or editing specific locus values.

Outsourcing versus In-House Processing – Version 4.1 allows DNA analysts to indicate whether the plate that is being created is to be sent for outsourcing. A worklist of the plates that have been dispatched to the vendor is displayed indicating the plate identifier, the shipping date and the vendor name.

Independent Analysis and Tech Review – STaCS-DB 4.1 provides the ability to perform both Independent Analysis and Tech Review, and to launch the specified analysis software that you want to use (Genotyper or GeneMapperID).

Failed Control Samples – The DNA analyst can designate a plate for rework when the minimum number of controls does not pass the concordance check.

Checking Allele Values Against NDIS Values and Standard Ladder Alleles – STaCS-DB Version 4.1 verifies allele values, upon profiles being imported, against NDIS values and Standard Ladder Alleles.

Assigning Sample Rework – Version 4.1 allows DNA analysts to indicate which sample is to be reworked, regardless of the allele results, and to also specify the rework point for that sample.

Concordance Check for Reworked Samples – For reworked samples, STaCS-DB 4.1 performs a concordance check against previous results.
