Version 2.3.
Version 2.3 includes the following new features and enhancements:

NEW MODULE - Serology Version 2.3 provides new functionality that tracks and records exams and results for exhibits requiring serology. Serology exams can be defined, assigned to exhibits, and the consumables and instruments used to perform the exams can be recorded. Additionally, a Serology Report that displays serology exam details for each exhibit is available.

NEW MODULE Profile Management Version 2.3 provides new profile management functionality allowing the analyst to create the Final, CODIS, and PopStats profiles. The analyst can select individual allele calls to define a locus. Additionally, allele strip values are automatically stripped from the allele calls.

STaCS Interacts with Tecan Freedom EVOware Version 2.3 allows the DNA analyst to launch the Tecan Freedom EVOware software directly from STaCS.

Displaying of Lab Case and Exhibit Numbers In Version 2.3, lab case numbers and exhibit numbers are displayed in all worklists.

Configuring NDIS Acceptable Values STaCS-CW Version 2.3 allows the analyst to configure NDIS Acceptable Values for a selected kit. Obtained profiles imported into the Data Analysis module are then compared against the configured NDIS acceptable values and discrepancies are automatically highlighted.

Using Standard Operating Procedures SOPs can be defined and specified for a selected activity and scenario.
Configuring Allele Strip Values Using the Allele Strip Values code table, the DNA analyst can configure allele strip values to specify codes for artifacts found during analysis. Codes can be pre-pended to allele values and imported into STaCS via the analysis software output table for further analysis in STaCS.

Configuring Instrument Template Properties In Version 2.3, the DNA analyst can set and configure instrument template properties for sequencers based on each amplification kit.

Configuring Specimen Categories and Source IDs for CODIS Upload In Version 2.3, the analyst can configure specimen categories and source IDs for CODIS upload via drop-down lists found in the Final Profile screen of the Profile Management menu.

Role Management Role Management now displays which users belong to which roles, - allowing the DNA analyst to instantly identify the users and the processes and modules in which they are involved.

Configuring the Exported File When Using Scenarios When using Scenarios in Version 2.3, the analyst can configure/select either the tab or comma delimited format for the file that he wants to export.

Importing the Robot Log File In Version 2.3, the analyst can import and save the Robot log file for audit purposes.

Quicker Setup for Quantitation Batch Layouts New functionality provided by Version 2.3, helps reduce the amount of time normally required when configuring batch layouts. For batch transfers, a layout view of the new batch at each processing step can be displayed.

Configuring a Witness to be Required at Sample Setup STaCS-CW Version 2.3 contains new configuration settings that require a witness be provided at the Sample Setup/Stain Consumed processing step and at the Data Analysis Processing Results screen.

Control Profile Linking A drop-down list has been added in Version 2.3 allowing the DNA analyst to choose specific controls used for each amplification or quantitation kit.

Interfacing with LIMS STaCS-CW Version 2.3 can now interface with LIMS-plus from JusticeTrax, allowing STaCS access to pertinent sample information and reducing the amount of data entry required by the analyst.

Control Reagent Identification Version 2.3 allows the identification of a reagent as either a positive or negative control, and allows a default profile to be assigned to it.

Setting a Default Storage Location In Version 2.3, the analyst can set a default storage location for items requiring storage, effectively saving resource time and effort previously necessary.

Sample Setup Version 2.3 allows offenses and organizations to be imported and manually entered into STaCS. Samples can also be manually added and exhibits manually cancelled.

Quickly Identify the Location of Samples In Version 2.3, a new Where Am I button has been added on the Processing tab to quickly identify the location of a sample in the processing stream.

Ability to Create Hybrid Batches At Quantitation, Version 2.3 allows the analyst to create hybrid batches, consisting of a Quantifiler Human and Quantifiler Male, on the same batch.

Plexor HY and BioRad iQ5 Support The Plexor HY kit and the BioRad iQ5 quantitation instrument are supported in STaCS-CW Version 2.3.

Yfiler and MiniFiler Support Version 2.3 provides support for the Yfiler and Minifiler kits at Amplification Setup.

Adding Controls to the Amplification Batch In Version 2.3, additional positive controls, consumable negative controls, amplification blanks and ladders can be added to the amplification batch on the fly. Additionally, samples from an amplification batch can be cleared, and secondary dilution can also be performed on a sample when creating an amplification batch.

Adding a Sample to Multiple Amplification Batches In Version 2.3, the DNA analyst can allocate one sample to multiple amplification batches.

Adding Amplification Blanks and Ladders at CE Setup At CE Batch Create, Version 2.3 allows the DNA analyst to add amplification blanks and ladders to the batches.

Third-Party Analysis Software Support In addition to GeneMapper, STaCS-CW 2.3 can import the analysis software output file from True Allele and GeneMarker.

Importing a Sample with Multiple Injections In Version 2.3, when importing samples with multiple injections, the injection order in the file contains more flexibility. For example, the sample injections can be placed one after the other on the import file.

CODIS and PopStats Upload STaCS-CW Version 2.3 provides new functionality allowing the analyst to create CODIS and PopStats Upload files and save them to a network location or external drive. These files are then uploaded to the CODIS and PopStats databases for possible profile matching.

Batch Content In Version 2.3, the Analyst Name column is now displayed in the batch content, and a new view called Layout View is provided.

DNA Lab Troubleshooter Version 2.3 allows the content of a selected batch to be viewed from the DNA Lab Troubleshooter module.

Reports STaCS-CW Version 2.3 provides the following new reports: Serology, Serology Statistics, DNA Processing Statistics, Extraction Type Statistics, Call Sheet, and Instrument Maintenance.

Back to News

Copyright © STaCS DNA Inc 2005-2010.
