The
Colorado Bureau of Investigation embraces the STaCS™ technology
Anjura Technology announced today that CBI adopted STaCS™
for its DNA Data Banking Laboratory in Denver, Colorado.
STaCS™
3.5 will be implemented in May 2005 and will include many new
features.
“We
are expanding the feature set in our QA/QC, instrumentation, and
data analysis sub-systems.” said Jocelyn Tremblay, Director,
Anjura-STaCS™.
“QA
managers are now able to define, manage, and assign proficiency
test samples to individual analysts or to the ‘system’.
Training samples and training sessions can also be assigned to
trainees. All STaCS™ processing steps are proficiency test
and training session-aware thus once assigned to a DNA analyst,
the samples are only available on the designated analyst's worklists.
Similarly,
once assigned to an assay plate, only the designated analyst will
have access to that plate. We built in the required functions
for the designated personnel to monitor proficiency test and training
session statuses throughout the process.
We
are also expanding the list of supported third-party instruments
and software by integrating the BSD Robotics’ BSD600-Duet
punch instrument and ABI’s GenemapperID software.”
added Tremblay.
